3 Years

On Monday, May 25th Josh and I celebrated 3 years of marriage. Holy crap we made it. Now, I'm not going to write about how these 3 years I have been in complete bliss and couldn't be happier. It would be a lie if I told you all that these three years have been the best of my life and I would want to relive them over and over again. I wouldn't. Oh no I wouldn't. The truth is, this last year has been the hardest year of my life. Josh and I have been through what I am hoping is the hardest time in our marriage. Right now however, Josh and I have a better marriage than we did before, proof that trials can make you stronger. Now I don't want to sound like I am just complaining, I am so grateful we were able to work things out and be the happiest we have ever been. This last year also had one of the best times of my life. Our beautiful daughter Payton was born, and I don't think either one of us could imagine life without her. I love Josh so much and I am so happy we were able to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. (which we did by seeing Angels and Demons and lunch at Rubios) Love you hun. Happy Anniversary!!

Italian Nachos

yum yum yum. Food just should not delight me as much as it does. I inherited my love for cooking from my parents, and since I now have a family of my own, Josh always makes fun of me for the dinner menus I insist on making. He says all the time we should be eating raman noodles every night not pasta carbonara, (which is my current fetish) fettuccine alfredo, or chicken enchiladas. Now I am hungery. Awhile ago my mom introduced me to food blogs, and my favorite http://www.thepoineerwomancooks.com/ has some of the most delicious recipies ever. I decided rather than just try other peoples recipies, I was going to try and duplicate on my restraunt favorites. I am obsessed with the italian nachos at Johnny Carinos. While I was pregnant I ate and entire family size platter all myself. Don't judge. Yesterday the most amazing miracle happened in my kitchen. I made italian nachos. Seriously, if I had not made them myself, I would have thought they came from Johnny's kitchen. I can't stop thinking about them. Delicious.

Summer

We are just loving this warm weather. I love how in Utah you have to keep switching between your furnace and your AC. Hopefully we are on the AC for awhile now though. Herriman has so many parks all over the place, so we decided to take advantage of that and have a picnic the other day. (and when I say "picnic" I mean we went through the drive through at Kneaders. yum) We had such a good time, and even Sergeant got to join in on all the fun.

Getting so big

How can she almost be 4 months? It feels like Payton was just born and we are still trying to get a hang of this whole parenting thing. I can't believe how much she changes everyday. Even just the little things she learns to do. She has been rolling from her tummy to her back for weeks, and is really close to rolling from back to tummy. She love sitting up in her bumbo so she can see what everybody is doing. She is trying so hard to sit up by herself it makes feeding her quite fun. I realized the other day that we have been so crazy with the house stuff I keep forgetting to take pictures of this cute growing girl. Here are some I took yesterday in her church dress.

this is what she does to all her dresses as soon as I put them on her. so modest

Finally!

We haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I promise. We have been crazy busy with house stuff. However, we are actually at a point where I can post pictures of our new house!! Basically we had to re-do everything. (and I mean everything. we were sleeping on the sub floor in the family room for 2 nights. It was awesome) We are so happy with how everything turned out, and we are just loving the neighborhood and the ward. I didn't take pictures of the master bedroom or my office because they are still a mess. I am pretty sure we are never going to be fully unpacked and put back together. Here is what we have so far though!!

Oh, and Payton after her bath. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is loving the new house. I am pretty sure of it.
But anyway, that is what we have been up to. Since the weather has been so nice we are just trying to clean up the yard. Pictures of that are to come if I ever get a chance to go out there and finish weeding.
